A great summer weekend!

Summer has finally come to Michigan this past week so we have to take advantage of it with only a few weeks of it left. We had the pleasure to baby sit Dora this weekend while Jill & Justin went camping in the U.P. We taught her to Kayak, and swim following the big dogs. She should be VERY tired out by the time she gets back home to Holland. Amy & Jordan were up for the

weekend. Jordan & Glen challenged each other to Corn Hole again all weekend, Glen came out ahead. Sorry Jordan.

We were all SOO SOO sad to learn last Sunday (September 7, 2008) that "The Swing" at Hill Lake was chopped down, along with the steps leading to the 'platform' - one must step up on to reach the handle of the swing. The sad news was broke to us by Emily & Dean VerBurg, when they returned on the Dune Buggy. The 'Mystery' remains as to who took it down. Was it vandalism, or did the DNR take it down worried that someone would get hurt???

Labor Day Weekend

Amy DeVries, Eleanor Hughes, & Chloe; Jordan Kramer, had to give Chloe a bath for payment because he broke a wine glass while playing "Bocce Ball". At least he didn't HURT any one this week! Last week he knocked over Glen by hitting him in the head with a corn bag. * Hey - wouldn't this make a good "slide show picture"? (Jordan & Chloe)

YEAH!!! Chloe got her cast off this morning and stitches (staples) out. She is limited to short walks for a week, then she should be back to normal and able to play and chase the ducks on the beach again.

Chloe Injured

Two weeks ago Chloe tore her ACL while playing on the beach with the neighbor kids. This is the second time (second leg). First time was exactly three years ago when she needed surgery and a few months to recoup. This time it should be the same. It's a lot of work to carry her out side for 'bathroom' time. Cast and stitches should come off about August 19th of all goes well. Then lots of therapy.
